I’ve owned my scoop for about 3-4 years. Paid $10 at the local appliance supply store. On packaging it said, do NOT put into dishwasher, which I never have. I was happy when it was new, but now won’t melt ice cream as it once did. So perhaps they don’t last forever, although the surface and handle show little wear. Not bad for ten bucks, I guess.
